In mankind’s haste to change the world, often folks will work very hard to create a false reality in order to get people to change their behavior. Indeed, many of these folks do have the very best intentions, such as reducing conflict, uniting political parties, and preventing political impasse that leads to war. One of the biggest purveyors of created realities is academia and especially in the areas of what are called; “social sciences” which many call quasi-sciences or pseudo-sciences because they believe they are not sciences at all.
No matter how one feels about the issue of liberal arts attaching the word science to their endeavors or how a human utopia might someday be possible, we must all be concerned with a run-away created reality being taught to our children. When we teach children, teens, and young adults in our schools and colleges to deny reality and adopt a different interpretation of that which they observe. We are handcuffing them and their minds.
Worse, we are setting them up for failure in the real world when they leave school and go out on their own to make their mark. This is not to say; Give up hope or that’s it is not possible to build the perfect world, rather, the point is the we must show the reality of the situation and then explain what must be done to get from point A to point B, if indeed we choose to adopt such a goal. If we allow our schools to promote a liberal socialist agenda and make our next generation weak, we will doom our civilization to mediocrity and that is something we should all fear.
